How to create your Timesheet from the Automated Timesheet:

I. Initial Setup per Semester/Trimester/Quarter before use:

1. Enter your Weekly schedule on the DayTemplate Spreadsheet Tab

2. Enter Optional schedules on “Optional” part of DayTemplate Spreadsheet Tab

3. Enter your identifying credentials on the main “PSYCH” sheet/tab with signatures  (yours and your department head).

4. Check if your entries are accepted by the data checking applied on the main sheet.

II. Creating TimeSheet for a specific Time Period

1. Go to the first Date cell you see on the sheet and set it either to the 1st or 16th of the month. Put in the correct month and year. Day will automatically be generated for you.

2. Go to VIEW -> Macros -> View Macros and select Finalize Template. (CTRL + SHIFT + T)

[OPTIONAL] 3. Reopen the template file (as the current open file is already the one you can submit to your HR department. Go to the DayTemplate Spreadsheet tab and to the Optional Schedules.
a) Select the optional schedules you want to use
(select cells from Right to left. And remember to paste as values
[Right Click on Mouse -> a -> s -> v] on your new file and not on the template)
b) And paste it on the cell where you want to add optional schedules to.

4. Review the new File and check if it reflects what you have done for that time period.

5. Send the new File to your supervisor.

*Disclaimer:  The data you place on the DayTemplate tab should be correct and follow all the data checking rules on the main sheet for this to work properly. The automation Macro and computation spreadsheets will help faculty create spreadsheets faster and more conveniently.
